What we do

Our super solutions for Tanzanian households
Designed in Africa and manufactured in Dar es Salaam.
The Jiko Supa stoves are a range of quality efficient cookstoves developed internally for various thermal performance levels, certified through the ISO accredited Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) and TIRDO laboratories.
Flagship programme
A Tanzanian-designed programme for 500,000 households.
Clean Cooking for All is our flagship clean cooking carbon programme.
The programme is being developed under the Paris Agreement Article 6.2 bilateral mechanism and is currently in final technical design validation.
Deployment is planned from 2027 to 2032 across multiple Tanzanian regions.
The programme will combine high quality product design and local manufacturing capabilities with community distribution and highest quality carbon programme design and monitoring.

The clean cooking opportunity
Clean cooking access in Tanzania was at 6.9% in 2021 while the National Clean Cooking Strategy aims to increase access to 80% by 2034. Reaching that target will require substantial private-sector delivery and climate finance.
Vantage is building the projects needed to help close this gap.
Our Climate experience
Vantage is a pioneer in establishing lower-emission fuel for the transport sector in Tanzania.
The company’s first climate project sought to mitigate emission outcomes in the transport sector. Tanzania has more than 3.5 million registered vehicles, of which 90 to 95 percent are used vehicles running on petrol and diesel. Across Africa, transport accounts for approximately 30 percent of emissions and is projected to reach 40 percent by 2030.
This is an opportunity to utilise lower-emission fuels such as LPG. Vantage developed an Autogas project to introduce LPG as a vehicle fuel. LPG is an established technology used by more than 27.4 million vehicles worldwide, produces approximately 20 percent fewer CO2 emissions than conventional fuel, and can be supplied through Tanzania’s existing LPG distribution network without the need for costly new infrastructure.
Today, the company has broadened its decarbonisation challenge to focus on Tanzania’s urgent clean cooking challenge.

Woinde brings experience in banking, finance and transport operations. She led Vantage’s original Autogas project, engaged national regulators and key project implementation partners.

Rohit brings strong experience of over 12 years of carbon technical design and auditing frameworks for various carbon programmes across Asia and Africa. Experienced with various carbon project methodology development such as Gold Standard and for multiple Article 6 programmes.

Timothy brings expertise in mechatronics engineering, product design, manufacturing, digital MRV and IoT-enabled monitoring systems.
